Farewell Dinner: This photo was taken with my ICTS friends before I left Bangalore. Clockwise: 1. Indrajit, 2. me, 3. Shreyashri (my wife), 4. Rekha, 5. Basu, 6. Krushna and 7. Indranil.
StatPhys29: This photo was taken during the Gala dinner ceremony of the international conference on Statistical Physics that had held in Florence (July 2025). It was a great experience to interact with world leading experts in the field and present my work there.
Sistine Chapel: I took this photo with my phone during the StatPhys29 conference in Italy. The memerising beauty of this painting is one of its kind by the great legend Michelangelo.
ICTS Entrance: This is one of the first board that you will see while entering into the academic building of ICTS. I wanted to take a perfect 45 degree shot with the shadow but it's the best I could get.
Indian Institute of Science (2017 - 2023)
Theoretical Quantum Condensed Matter group at IISc (2017 - 2023): This photo was taken in front of the department before going for a lunch on the event of the first PRL from the group, thanks to the brilliance of Surajit, Lokesh and Sumilan da. Clockwise: 1. Surajit, 2. Lokesh, 3. myself, 4. Sumilan da, 5. Nilanjan da, 6. Animesh and 7. Jagannath. It was a great fun to do Physics with them.
Open Day 2020: Indian Insitite of Science (IISc) celebrates the national science day as a grand opening to the outside science entusiasts. On this day anyone can enter into the insititute and visit their choice of department to gain knowledge about the current discoveries in science. We, the Ph D scholars, are the volunteers for the whole event. This was the last grand open day before the Covid pandemic broke out in March 2020.
Gang of four: This photo was taken from my newly bought Canon 200D using the timer mode during the 2nd lockdown on a typical Sunday near the open air theatre (not present now). Clockwise 1. myself, 2. Jagannath 3. Sudeb and 4. Subham. We have spent quite a few amount of time together at IISc.
Office mates: Three of us shared the office during our Ph D. After the inaguration of the annexe builing of the New Physics Building, we were shifted to E0-07 till we finished our degree. This photo was taken during the QMAT conference that had held at IIT Kanpur in 2019. Clockwise: 1. Animesh, 2. Kale and 3. myself.
Physics cricket team: We were one of dominant team of IISc and also were among the favourites of any inter-deparment tournaments that we played. This photo was taken after we lost the final of the Champion's trophy 2020.
Indian Institute of Technology Madras (2014 - 2016)
Gajendra Circle: This is one of the very famous landmark in IIT Madras campus. There are two elephant sculptures, in standing position, who welcome everyone passing. I took this photo while returning to my hostel after classes.
Regular visitors: The IIT Madras is campus in one of very few that has deers roaming around everywhere. This photo was taken in front of the Administration building.
Midnapore College, Vidyasagar University (2011-2014)
Science Cenre and workshops: This workshop was very insightful in terms of understanding the error in any experimental measurements. In the podidum, I was asking my queries to one of the organizers Dr. Sudarshan Pal (who was also an active mentor of 'Science centre' with the help of Kali da). Dr. Makhanlal Nanda Goswami, whom I admire very much, might had been overthinking my silly question.
College Days: Somnath, one of my college friend, and I took part in a state-level science fair during the final year of my undergraduate days in college. We exhibited a realistic and cost-friendly experiment with the use of electro-magnetic induction. We won the competition with securing 1st prize along with a citation. I must acknowledge the help of Kali da from our 'Science centre' in designing the project. This photo was published in next day's Anandabazar Patrika.
